Apartment Fire in Chicago, IL
A fire that swept through an apartment complex in Chicago, IL left extensive fire, smoke, and water damage throughout all of the units. The picture shows the kitchen days after the fire. Notice that the kitchen was expanded to give the tenants more floor space and the flooring redone. The stove was moved to the opposite wall with more counter space and cabinets. New and taller cabinets allowed for more storage space, an essential part of apartment living. As part of SERVPRO's response, the interior was dried from the fire department's response, with air movers and other equipment used to reduce the smell of smoke damage.
