Illinois Weather Trivia
Do you remember the last blizzard to hit Bolingbrook? It was the winter of 2011 when a blizzard dropped 20 inches of snow in a 24-hour period. This was the third-largest blizzard ever to be recorded in Chicago. Bolingbrook was buried in snow, and at least 10,000 customers lost power. The snow lasted on the ground for 16 days after the storm!

- Close off rooms to conserve heat.
- Dress in layers and use blankets to stay warm.
- Bring pets into a warm place and out of the storm or severe cold.
- Never use a generator, camp stove, charcoal grill, or propane heater inside as these can start accidental fires or cause carbon monoxide poisoning.
