DuPage River Flash Flood Watch in Naperville?

Two years ago, the west branch of the DuPage River was under a flash flood watch due to heavy rain that caused the river to reach flood stage at 11.6 feet. The Naperville Fire Department urged residents to stay away from the river until the waters receded to normal levels. Our local team in Plainfield and Naperville South has been restoring storm damage in Naperville for many years. Flood Watch

A flash flood is a sudden violent flood that can take from minutes to hours to develop. It is even possible to experience a flash flood in areas not immediately receiving rain.
